BRA & MENSTRUAL PRODUCT DRIVE
Help OVWC Support Local Women and Girls
It is time for the 3rd annual Bra and Menstrual Product drive hosted by the Orangevale Woman's Club. Last year our community donated almost 14,000 items!! This year we would like to collect 16,000 items for local organizations, such as The Glass Slipper, Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank and HART of Orangevale and Fair Oaks.
Orangevale Teen Council along with the McKinley-Vento program (part of San Juan Unified School District) will be receiving some of the menstrual product donations so our students don’t have to miss school or deal with the implications of using poor substitutes or using tampons/pads longer than intended.
Last year approximately 725 new and gently used bras were given to the Underground Clothing Closet which supports San Juan Unified families that live in transitional or insecure housing. This donation helped the store in Sunrise Mall provide bras for local women and girls for almost a year.
Please bring menstrual products (even opened packages) and new or gently used bras (sports bras too!) and drop them off at these businesses during the month of March that support our women and girls:
Badfish Coffee and Tea (Orangevale)
Christ the King Lutheran Church
The Orangevale-Fair Oaks Food Bank
The Petal Connection (Folsom)
Grocery Outlet (Orangevale)
There’s nothing like shopping clearance racks when size doesn’t matter! Another option is to add to your next Amazon order with items from our Amazon Wishlist at https://amzn.to/3t1oMlr to have items shipped to us for donation. Feel free to contact us through our Contact Us page or @orangevalewomansclub on Instagram or Facebook.
